Punjab is undertaking comprehensive reforms to strengthen nursing education and health workforce governance—improving the quality of nursing education, increasing the availability of qualified nursing faculty, establishing three state-of-the-art Centers of Excellence, promoting digital transformation, strengthening HRH planning, and building sustainable institutional governance.

Component 1

Quality of Nursing Professionals Improved

Faculty development, postgraduate scholarships, curriculum modernization, specialty nursing education, competency-based learning and continuing professional development.

Component 2

Centers of Excellence

Three climate-resilient, gender-sensitive Centers of Excellence in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi serving as provincial hubs for education, research, simulation-based learning and innovation.

Component 3

Governance & Workforce Strengthening

Establishing the Board of Governors, Governance Frameworks, HRH Management Unit and strengthened workforce planning and quality assurance.

Faculty Development

Investing in the people who teach nursing

Through national and international partnerships, the Program supports nursing educators in pursuing postgraduate qualifications, specialized certifications and professional development including competency-based education, simulation methodologies, research supervision, digital learning technologies and academic leadership.

International Partnerships

Building on global expertise

The Program collaborates with national and international universities, healthcare institutions, professional organizations, accreditation bodies and development partners to strengthen nursing education through research, faculty exchange and innovation.
